PROPOSED AMENDMENTS PUBLISHED FOR PUBLIC COMMENT.

The Judicial Conference Advisory Committees on Appellate, Bankruptcy, Civil and Criminal Rules have proposed amendments to their respective rules and forms. The proposed amendments, Rules Committee reports explaining the proposed changes, and other information are posted on the judiciary's website at

The public comment period ends February 17, 2015.

Charlotte November Chapter 7 Hearing Date Cancelled.

Judge Whitley's November 6 Chapter 7 hearing date is cancelled leaving November 20 as the only Chapter 7 hearing date for November. Attorneys expecting lengthy hearings on November 20 should contact Chambers for a special setting.

Credit counseling and financial management courses must be completed through one of the approved providers for the Western District of North Carolina.  The list of approved providers is found under the “information” tab on the Court’s website or directly at
http://www.ncwba.uscourts.gov/credit.html.  Pursuant to 11 USC § 111, providers must be re-approved annually and may be removed at any time.
