Important Information
The court is aware of the widespread devastation recently caused by Hurricane Helene in the western part of our district and sends its condolences and support to everyone who has been adversely affected by the storm. While the court has decided not to enter any district-wide administrative orders at this point and to instead address the situation on a case-by-case basis, parties and attorneys who need relief related to bankruptcy cases in this district are encouraged to contact the court and/or the Bankruptcy Administrator. The court will continue to monitor the situation as Western North Carolina recovers and will take appropriate action as necessary.

Following the District Court order, the Bankruptcy Court will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, Wednesday, December 25, and Thursday, December 26, 2024, in observance of the Christmas holiday. The Bankruptcy Court will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in observance of the New Year Holiday.
