Before Registering...

Attorneys practicing in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina, including attorneys admitted pro hac vice, are required to file all documents electronically in accordance with Local Bankruptcy Rule 5005-1. (Documents to be placed under seal are exempt).

To receive a login and password for the court's electronic filing system, attorney filers must complete training or must have completed training in another district. If you have not attended a training class held at this or another federal court, then click here to complete training.

Ready To Create Your New CM/ECF Account?

Once you have met the above requirements, proceed to PACER to create your account and request access to the court.  If you already have an individual PACER account, proceed here to request access.  You can check your account status through PACER.

Have An Old CM/ECF Login And Password?

Login to CM/ECF with your individual upgraded PACER credentials, proceed to Utilities/Link a CM/ECF account to my PACER account. After linking, you will access CM/ECF using your PACER credentials.

CREDITORS

You must have a PACER account in order to obtain access to CM/ECF to file as a creditor with the exception of Proof of Claim. Proceed to PACER to create your account and request access to the court. Refer to the Creditor Filing tab for more information. Creditors who need to file transfers of claim are required to have a CM/ECF login with the court. A $25 fee must be paid by credit card upon filing the claims transfer using Pay.gov. Failure to pay outstanding fees will result in a lockout of the account and or the CM/ECF system.
